Planboard
The Planboard is the central workspace for planners and dispatchers in OpenTMS. From here you can see all transport files, assign them to vehicles, plan trips on a timeline, monitor stops and legs, and keep an eye on your fleet on a map — all in one screen.
Who is the Planboard for?
The Planboard is used mainly by:
- Planners who assign freight to vehicles and drivers.
- Dispatchers who follow the execution of trips during the day.
- Operations leads who need a quick overview of what is going on in the fleet.
You need the permission Applications → OpenTmsApp → Planboard app to open the Planboard. Individual tabs (like the Vehicle Planboard) require their own permissions — see Layout & tabs.
Open the Planboard
- Click the app menu icon in the header bar (the grid of dots).
- In the Standard apps section, click Planboard.
OpenTMS opens the Planboard in the content area. The first time you open it, OpenTMS loads a default layout with a few tabs visible. You can customize this — see Layout & tabs.
